Meet Our Cleaning Team
We are a dedicated team of professional cleaning technicians who have proudly cleaned Southside homes since 1985. During that time, we’ve completed more than 400,000 house cleanings. With decades of experience, we’ve perfected our skills to ensure your home sparkles every time we work our magic.
Custom Maid represents modern residential house cleaning services. Our industry is no longer defined by individuals working out of the trunk of a car with an old vacuum and broom. Our team studies the most effective cleaning techniques, and our uniformed staff is continually trained on the latest industry updates and standards. The products we use are professional-grade and environmentally friendly.
Our founder, Alison Palmer, served as the president of the Association of Residential Cleaning Services International (ARCSI) for three years and was on its Board of Directors for nine years. ARCSI is the trade association for the residential cleaning industry and holds educational meetings twice a year to ensure we stay up-to-date with the most modern techniques, supplies, and equipment available.
We are proud members of the Hampton Roads community and actively give back to the community that has supported us. Custom Maid has been a long-time partner with Cleaning for a Reason, providing free house cleaning for people undergoing cancer treatment. Because of our efforts with Cleaning for a Reason, we were honored with the Urban League of Hampton Roads Beacon of Hope Award.
We train our staff to meet the high standards set by the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification) for house cleaning technicians. Our complete training program spans three weeks, equipping our team with the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional results every time.
